R&D Microbiologist – Hazlewood, Missouri Yoh is hiring a R&D Microbiologist to join a growing team. Essential Functions Handling of microbiological cultures, including bacteria, yeasts, and moulds using appropriate safety precautions. Identify mixed cultures and elevate to appropriate personnel. Confirm isolate identification with VITEK MS or reagents. Perform isolate susceptibility testing using VITEK AST reagents. Execute and interpret antimicrobial reference tests such as broth micro‐dilution, agar dilution, and E‐Test. Monitor instruments to ensure proper functionality. Document all steps according to SOPs. Participate in ongoing process improvement efforts. Coordinate work assignments and prioritize tasks independently. Support laboratory maintenance as part of a team effort. Conduct preventive maintenance and quality control procedures. Maintain a safe work environment and wear the required personal protective equipment.
