Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

Summary The Endoscopy Registered Nurse (ENDO RN) is directly responsible to the designated manager in the assigned area; the registered nurse is responsible and accountable for the provision of direct patient care and for the delivery of quality nursing care to a culturally diverse veteran patient population that reflect the educational, experiential and competency requirements. Responsibilities The ENDO RN delivers and manages the care of patients undergoing therapeutic and diagnostic endoscopy procedures including both inpatients and outpatients. Assesses the patients physical and mental status prior to procedures, educates on procedural and post-procedural care, and documents responses to interventions, findings, and reports any changes. The Endoscopy Unit provides services for Veterans who require therapeutic and diagnostic endoscopic procedures including colonoscopy, esophagogastroduodenoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound, endoscopic retrograde cholangiogram pancreatography, sigmoidosco...
