Registered Practical Nurse

Position Functions:

Assist and support Registered Nurses and other members of the Interdisciplinary Resident Care Team on the assigned Resident Home Area (RHA) as needed in planning, implementing an ongoing evaluation of our resident‑centred care model and humanizing environment, and allowing other staff, residents, families and visitors to become involved in the care components of our home as they choose.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the registered nurses, the registered practical nurse shall plan, implement, delegate, supervise and evaluate care provided by non‑regulated staff in assigned Resident Home Areas (RHAs) in accordance with the legislation and regulations of the Fixing Long Term Care Act, 2021 and the Standard of Practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario.

• Support, respect and help promote Residents’ Bill of Rights in the Home.
