About the job
The Senior Safety Specialist partners with designated stations to protect FedEx people and property, meets legislative requirements, and upholds our People-Service-Profit philosophy. This role carries senior-level responsibility across occupational health and safety, risk assessment, joint health and safety committees, auditing, road safety, dangerous goods, the Canada Labour Code (Part II), and WHMIS. The Specialist leads and guides direct reports. He or she trains managers and employees.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent — a degree in health, safety, or environment preferred
- Accreditations / certifications / licences (preferred) — professional accreditation (CRSP)
- Minimum years required to enter this job — 4 years
