Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Shipping & Receiving Assistant is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments, investigates and resolves problems arising from purchasing or inventory issues. Compiles information and records purchase orders, loaner equipment, and/or fixed asset items.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for processing and shipping outbound and inbound orders/packages except for US Mail.
Prepares and verifies shipment information by counting, weighing, and/or measuring items of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Validate information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
Maintain the company shipping and stockroom areas in an organized, clean manor,
Maintain the stockroom by cataloging items and submitting inventory list on a regular basis
Updates appropriate internal programs/systems with shipment details/tracking information
