Job Summary
Under the direction of the Manager, the Social Worker is supervised by the MSW Senior (MSW SR) on the multi-disciplinary team. As a member of a multi-disciplinary team within Youth Mental Health & Addictions Services, the MSW provides mental health therapy to youth and families presenting with a range of disorders. The Social Worker provides brief and multi-session individual and family therapy to address mental health problems and disorders in adolescents, facilitates group therapy for adolescents and parents, and collaborates with other members of the multi-disciplinary team, health providers and agencies. The Social Worker also assists with program planning, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical supervision of practicum students.
