Job Description

Position: Stress Methods Engineer (d/f/m) within Airbus Defence and Space Airframe Engineering organisation.

The successful applicant will join the Stress Methods and Optimisation department of the Airbus Defence and Space Airpower Business Unit.

About The Team

Spreading across Getafe and Manching sites, the team supports Static and Fatigue stress teams in airframe strength analysis, develops and maintains structural analysis methods and software tools throughout all aircraft development phases, and matures novel structural technologies for the Airframe Centre of Competence.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Development, improvement and validation of Stress Methods.
• Development, maintenance and testing of Stress Software.
• Derivation of Material Design Values for structure analyses, and definition of mechanical tests when required.
