Student Intern

Student intern interested in Civil Engineering to provide support to in-house Engineers in Construction Management for Valley Water capital construction projects. Job duties include:
• Assist with review of engineering drawings and specifications.
• Assist with construction field support including site observations, documentation, and coordination with inspectors.
• Assist with organizing and maintaining RFI, submittal, change order, as-built, and other contract documentation.
• Attend construction meetings and take notes.
Learning objectives include:
• Gain exposure to civil infrastructure construction projects.
• Gain exposure to construction management practices including scheduling, cost tracking, and quality control.
• Develop the ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
