Substation Physical Design Engineer, Power Delivery

As an Intermediate Substation Physical Design Engineer based in Alberta, British Columbia, or Saskatoon, you’ll design the infrastructure that keeps communities connected and supports the growth of renewable energy across Western Canada.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design of medium to high voltage utility substations.
• Develop one‑line diagrams, general arrangements, elevation views, conduit and cable routing, substation physical layouts, ground grid layouts, and equipment details.
• Perform calculations: Lightning Protection, Battery Sizing, AC Station Service Sizing, conduit/cable tray sizing, etc.
• Develop technical specifications and design criteria.
• Occasional travel required.
