Job Description
Purpose and Scope
During summer school, therapists provides skilled interventions and/or adapted tools and strategies to facilitate student access and participation in summer coursework, for students with an Individual Education Plan (IEP) or eligibility under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. This may include activities such as the selection and use of assistive and/or adaptive technology, or therapeutic strategies and tools that remove barriers to access and participation in the curriculum.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy plus a minimum of two (2) years directly related clinical experience. Experience in school based practice or pediatrics preferred. Current licensure to practice physical therapy or occupational therapy in the State of Tennessee required.
