Supervisory Mobility Transportation Specialist

Summary This position is located within Health Administration Service, Hampton VA Medical Center. Responsibilities The primary purpose of this position is to manage all VTS and BT Program activities, including patient transport, Special Mode Travel (SMT), mileage reimbursement claims, transportation contracts, 911 ambulance claims, inter-facility transfers, and common carrier transportation. Also supervises/ensures the VTS and BT processes comply with regulatory guidance, while assuring program effectiveness. The incumbent also serves as the primary POC and responsible party for BT IPERA audit processes and documentation. Serves as the Contracting Officer Representative for all transportation contracts, including common carrier, Special Mode, ambulance and air ambulance.
