Supervisory Transportation Specialist (Rule Making)

Summary The position serves as the Director, Standards and Rulemaking Division, Office of Hazardous Materials Safety (OHMS), Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA). The incumbent plans, coordinates, recommends and implements changes and additions to, and administers, the Department of Transportation's comprehensive set of regulations for ensuring the safe transportation of hazardous materials. Responsibilities The Supervisory Transportation Specialist (Standards and Rulemaking Director): Develops, recommends, and maintains comprehensive long-range plan, including priorities and schedules for hazardous materials regulatory actions and support for international standards setting activities.
