Job Description
Some of our children have been let down by education before. This role is about showing them it can be different.
For a few of the children we support, a classroom has never felt like a safe or welcoming place and understandably, they’ve switched off from learning altogether. We’re looking for someone to gently change that: to work one-to-one with the children who currently find education hardest, rebuild their trust, and help them rediscover that learning can be something they actually enjoy.
This isn’t classroom teaching. It’s learning that happens out in the community and in the great outdoors, through ASDAN projects, life skills, trips and hands-on activities, with English and Maths woven in along the way (think working out measurements over a baking tray, or speed and distance with a set of toy cars).
