Position Overview
Title: Surface Mine Trainer
Reports To: Training Supervisor. Permanent position. Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off, 12‑hour days. Location: Rainy River Mine, Rainy River, Ontario, Canada.
We are seeking an experienced trainer to deliver surface mining training in accordance with MTCU Modules, OHSA Regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure employees are trained to perform duties using best practices and meet mining process requirements, quality and efficiency.
- Solicit feedback from trainees and conduct remedial training as needed.
- Develop lesson plans and deliver one‑to‑one, small or large group training.
- Deliver Surface Miner Common Core curriculum to new hires.
- Maintain accurate training records and ensure records are signed.
- Support mine activities and assist in attaining department metrics.
