Under the direction of the Environmental Superintendent, implement and support initiatives for managing all aspects associated with land management.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Conduct environmental rehabilitation activities in accordance with plans.
- Conduct weed and pest animal control around the mine site, rehabilitated areas, covenants and other site areas as required.
- Assist consultants and contractors engaged for environmental monitoring, maintenance, development and research at the direction of the Superintendent – Environmental and Advisors- Environmental.
- Maintenance and enhancement of the general site including visitor viewing areas, walkways, car parks, mine office areas and grounds as well as the main interpretation centre. Such duties include but are not limited to grass mowing; weed eating, spraying, weed and pest control, rubbish removal and signage maintenance.
