Telecommunication Mechanic (Cabling) x 2 (Everett, WA and Whidbey Island, WA)

Marathon TS is seeking a Telecommunications Mechanic for a newly awarded contract effort to provide Base Telecom Support at the Puget Sound, WA Shipyard and satellite locations. The effort will provide telecommunications operations and maintenance (O&M). This includes secure and reliable, classified and unclassified, voice and data services in support of Command, Control, Computer, Communications and Information (CI) operations and exercises.
Responsibilities:

Essential functions will include:

Install, maintain, and repair outside telecommunications infrastructure, including: Underground and aerial copper/fiber cabling Backbone and distribution systems Conduits, vaults, ducts, and pedestals

Perform: Fiber and copper splicing (fusion and mechanical) OTDR and power meter testing Fault isolation and emergency restoration Termination of cables in manholes, handholes, and wiring closets
