Job Description

Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise the daily operations of Tool Room and Tool Crib.
Ensure the timely availability of tools, fixtures, and equipment required to support production schedules.
Manage inventories of cutting tools, inserts, tool holders, gauges, fixtures, and consumable materials.
Establish and maintain minimum and maximum inventory levels.
Coordinate the procurement of tooling, equipment, and related services.
Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and technical support agreements with suppliers.
Supervise tool assembly, presetting, and preparation for CNC machining centers.
Monitor and control cutting tool life through tooling management systems and performance analysis.
Implement tooling optimization programs to reduce costs and improve productivity.
Develop and maintain tooling databases, cutting parameters, and tooling specifications.
