Education
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
Responsibilities
- Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions using GPS or other navigation devices to minimise fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
- Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques.
- Utilise mountain driving expertise.
- Load and unload goods.
- Oversee vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
- Perform brake adjustments.
- Perform emergency roadside repairs.
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
Certificates, Licences and Memberships
- Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
- Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
Documentation Knowledge
- Accident or incident reports.
- Bill of lading.
- Driver logbook.
- Inspection report (pre‑trip, en‑route, post‑trip).
