Underwriter II, Commercial Lines

We have an exciting opportunity to join our National Underwriting MGA, Risk-Can, as a Commercial Underwriter on a permanent, full-time basis. This role offers a hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite various commercial lines submissions with the intent to offer insurance solutions for our brokers within department guidelines and contribute to a profitable portfolio of business.
• Ensure proper underwriting, pricing, authorizing and documentation of moderate to complex new business submissions.
• Work within established underwriting authority limits, structured parameters, rating matrices, and defined guidelines given under our contracts.
• Build strong relationships with our brokers by offering insurance solutions that assist them in their front-line sales and customer relationships.
• Make recommendations to improve the department and increase its efficiency.
