The Organization

The First Nations Capital and Infrastructure Agency of Saskatchewan (FNCIAS) is a First Nations‑led, non‑profit agency dedicated to taking a transfer of a federal program and transforming housing and infrastructure outcomes for First Nations located in Saskatchewan. Working together with Nations and partners, FNCIAS is building new systems, governance structures, and sustainable service delivery models that are led by First Nations for First Nations.

The first FNCIAS member signed on in November 2020. There are currently 25 First Nations and one Tribal Council signed on to participate, with several other First Nations reviewing information for membership.

FNCIAS supports the development and implementation of properly funded public works and housing departments that will create quality, appropriate, healthy, and safe housing and related infrastructure, with a long‑term focus on closing...
