Job Description: Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Virtualization Management: Install, configure, and manage VMware vSphere, ESXi hosts, and vCenter Servers.
- Resource Allocation: Provision virtual machines (VMs), manage storage (VMFS, NFS, vSAN), and optimize networking (vSwitch, Distributed vSwitch).
- Infrastructure Health: Monitor server performance, capacity planning, and ensure uptime through HA (High Availability) and DRS (Distributed Resource Scheduler).
- Maintenance & Security: Apply patches and upgrades (patching ESXi hosts), manage backups, and implement security measures like VM encryption and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Troubleshooting: Resolve complex technical issues related to virtual machines, hosts, or storage connectivity.
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of VMware vSphere 7.x/8.x, vCenter, vMotion, and Virtual SAN.
